1. What is tretinoin?
Tretinoin is the strongest form of topical Vitamin A on the market and requires a prescription from a doctor.
2. What benefits does tretinoin offer the skin?
Vitamin A is the first topical vitamin approved to reduce wrinkles and have antiaging effects that changes the appearance of the skin. Tretinoin is the most effective topical agent to slow the aging process- it induces many positive effects on skin cells:

3. What are tretinoin peels?
Tretinoin peels at EA Aesthetics are a unique mask peel which we call our Pixel peel. We get the peel formulated from a compounding pharmacist and we order it for our clients with a prescription from our doctor. Like other stronger chemical peels, your skin will experience peeling and flaking from our tretinoin peel. As mentioned above, tretinoin regulates many cell processes for healthier, more balanced skin. These processes include regulating cell proliferation and turnover. This means that by applying a tretinoin peel, your skin will be triggered to turnover (exfoliate) old cells to be replaced with new, healthy cells (proliferation). This results in healthier skin and the reversal of sun damage. You will also receive the added benefits of firming and strengthening your skin as the tretinoin remodels deeper skin layers.
4. How many peels do I need?
This depends on your skin and what you are trying to achieve. If you are having a series of tretinoin peels only, we recommend 5 every 4-6 weeks. If you are having a combined treatment plan of tretinoin peels alongside laser/ IPL/ PRP etc, we may recommend less. Results from these peels will continue to develop for 6 months after your last peel. You will notice immediate improvements from the skin being exfoliated- a brighter, smoother, more radiant complexion. This will be followed by cumulative effects of a firmer skin with less fine lines and pigmentation.
